    1. Setup plastic barriers around the affected area. 2. Setup scrubber in the room. 3. Wear P100 respirator, tyvek suit, and goggles. 4. Cut out walls and affected items that are removable and bag them + soda blast non-removable structural mold (or use 8% H2O2). 5. HEPA vacuum over everything. 6. Spray something like Aerosolver over the whole room, scribbling in the air to get the ultrafine particles. 7. Scrub down the walls and floor with rags and alcohol. 8. Use something like Puroclenz to kill any remaining mold in the room. 9. Dispose of all items used and clean scrubber after removing filter from scrubber. 10. Shower, use neti-pot to clear your nose for ultrafine particles that may have gotten through the mask. Take 10 capsules of activated charcoal daily for 1-2 weeks after this procedure.

Bleach/Clorox is more or less a stain remover you should always consider testing remember this is microscopic it's what you don't see /Sometimes when you can Mold type substance-you should think about what's fair that you don't see space/spacescience that tells youhow significant the problem is if you have a problem one thing I see in these videos as they neglect to have containment which is required just from viewing the video you have to make sure that the removal companydid not contaminate any other parts of the building search UA-cam mold scam 101 never use a mold removal company that offers testing it's like a student creating their own final exam-this is a lot of the unethical mold removal company practices in Pittsburgh

I had many mold re-mediators tell me that you can not kill mold with bleach since bleach has water in it and water feeds mold. I had mold in many different areas of my house, I used a bleach based mold killing product, the mold has been gone for 1.5 years, the product worked. I was told, bleach will white mold out, and mold will continue to grow after it feeds on the water in the bleach. After telling one of the mold re-mediators what I did, he told me that it is just coincidental for the product to work and usually mold will not be killed, but he didn't know what to say after I told him that the mold didn't come back in the 5 other rooms as well.

    • @timgroves8463

+alwaysbeeurself Mold only grows when it has a food and water source as well as proper atmospheric conditions. . Obviously the food didn't change, but it appears the water problem did, that or you live in a subnorm temperature range. Either way, using any product, any method, etc.. if the problem isn't fixed, mold continues to come back. Problem causing mold goes away, mold no longer grows. If you "bleach out" the mold, and the source was fixed before hand, you wouldn't ever see the issue again. The mycotoxins stop being produced etc.. Doesn't mean you got rid of the problem completely, just bandaided it. Also the water aspect of the mold is if you heavily apply the bleach. Bleach requires a 15 or so minute dwell time. Most homeowners are not well versed in the amount of moisture to apply to something for an accurate dwell time, so if they are following the directions and applying liberally enough to account for dwell time, they frequently over do it. So either your great at those calculations, got lucky, or your problem was minimal. I could happily discuss the various aspects of bleach vs other avenues with you. Yet after many scientists have proven that bleach does not properly get rid of mold, at least not any household bleach you can by at your local store, I would say their research is speaks for itself. Sodium hypo-chloride is a great tool for many things, but not strong enough in household applications for a true remediation, and too strong in other methods obtained commercially for a person not properly trained and in the proper PPE to apply. Just the two cents of someone who has done his fair share of research to know facts vs one attempted control.

The amount of time a mold spore is exposed to the uv light in a hepa air filter or an HVAC isn't enough to kill the mold spore. UV lights are great for killing bacteria on a/c coils in your HVAC but that's about it

Not true! The UV in combination with Hepa filter removes mold. I've done before and after air test. There are units that 7 steps, including O2, UV, Hepa and more. Mold is not hard to kill, however, if you have a mold source being fed by moisture and humidity, it will continue to produce spores, until eliminated.
